The Ice Axe G1 from Grivel is an ice axe that’s ideal for glacier travel and classic mountaineering. The pick and shovel are made of one piece of hot-forged steel and are therefore extremely stable, yet lightweight. The ice axe fits well in the hand both at the head and at the aluminium handle. It also has a length-adjustable wrist strap with rubber protection for the spike. All in all, it’s a classic ice axe that offers an optimal balance of lightness and stability.
